Text Box: NOTES FROM MRS. NIVEN

Dear Parents and Students,

The first quarter is off to a terrific start and students and staff are working hard at setting high expectations for QCMS! We are very proud of our super Wildcat start with our fifth and sixth graders. They are a well behaved and very respectful group of students who have made the campus a fun and
exciting place to be! Our students are working hard in their classrooms and taking great pride in our school by being respectful to the adults and picking up after themselves.

I would like to personally thank all the efforts that our first ever PTO has put in to QCMS. They are already out their raising money and our first few
fundraisers have been a huge success! If you have not checked out their website, please do so at qcmspto.com. We look forward to seeing you at our 80’s Revival on September 17th from 6 – 8 pm! Bring out your best 80’s dress and have fun!

Welcome to QCMS and we look forward to a successful year!

Respectfully,

Mrs. Julie Niven

Text Box: Health Office News
To the Parents of the 6th Grade Students:

There are two vaccination requirements needed per Arizona State Law. All students who are 11 years of age and entering into the 6th grade are required to have the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) and Meningococcal vaccines. Students must be 11 years or older to receive a dose of Tdap vaccine if 5 years have passed since the last DTaP/DT dose. Information about both of these vaccinations is available at the following website:
 http://www.azdhs.gov/phs/immun/index_parfam.htm.

If your child is not 11 years of age at the start of the 2009/10 school year, he/she will be able to start school and the vaccinations will required on their 11th birthday. Immunizations are offered through the Health Office or for more information, please contact your family physician.
